Subject overview

Spine Surgery has rapidly changed in the last few decades and is bound to change more due to influx of various advanced technologies like navigation, robotics, simulation, artificial intelligence, and telehealth.  While many of these changes are for the good, they also pose the challenge of making these advances available and affordable globally to every spine patient across the world.   This symposium will not only delve on cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, disc regeneration, advanced surgical navigation but will also look at practical issues like closing the gender gap in spine surgery and how to extend the benefits of modern spine surgery to one and all. 

 

Symposium Objective

This symposium aims to prioritize most urgent aspects of future developments in spine care for the attention of global leaders. The specific objectives would be: To identify and understand the various advances in spine care that can lead to the prosperity of spine care and to discuss strategies on how to improve global access to these advancements in spine care.
